The world's largest annual architectural
and commercial lighting trade show.
 In
its 17th year as the lighting industry’s premier North American
event, LFI 2006 presented its best Las Vegas showing ever. LFI 2006
welcomed 550 exhibiting companies, including 97 international
exhibiting companies and 138 first-time exhibitors.
The annual lighting event drew attendees from every U.S. state,
with the strongest attendance from the West Coast. The 16,676
registered attendees included 1,390 international registrants, with
strong attendance from Canada, Mexico, Japan, South Korea, United
Kingdom, Taiwan, China, Australia, Germany and Hong Kong. Overall,
57 international countries were represented.
LFI attendees came from a variety of industry disciplines and
represented a broad cross-section of professions:
- Architects, Landscape Architects & Interior Designers
(5.9% of attendees)
- Architectural & Theatrical Lighting Designers (11.25%)
- Consultants (7.74%)
- Electrical & General Contractors (7.24%)
- Engineers & Electrical Engineers (13%)
- Lighting & Electrical Distributors (18.82%)
- Other attendees identified themselves as representatives,
lighting retailers, facility managers and visual
merchandisers.
 We
would like to thank all those that came along to learn about DALI
and how it can be expanded from a single room to a building-wide
lighting solution. Attendees were educated with a hands-on
demonstration by staff from Specialized Lighting Solutions and saw a
stunning working application with the SkyCeiling at the SkyFactory
stand.
The next LIGHTFAIR International Trade Show and Conference will
be held in May 2007 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New
York City.
